ESCOT Job Announcement

William Hammarstrom, Board President, and the officers and directors of ESCOT Inc., The Executive Services Corps of the Tri-Cities, announce the appointment effective August 8 of David W. Palmquist of Kinderhook as Interim Executive Director.

Palmquist succeeds Robert Stevens who served as Executive Director for two and one-half years.

Palmquist has worked with not-for-profit corporations and local governments in 42 years of work. He served 22 years with the New York State Education Department until his retirement, most recently in the State Museum as manager of Public History Programs, and previously as head of Museum Chartering. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University at Albany where he teaches a graduate course in Historical Agency Management and Practice. He holds master’s degrees from Case Western Reserve University and the University of Connecticut.

ESCOT has served the Tri-Cities of the Capital District since 1987. ESCOT is a not-for-profit management consulting organization, comprised of skilled executives and consultants who assist not-for-profit corporations, educational institutions and governments by providing consulting services at low cost.

ESCOT volunteers provide time and experience to help solve organizational and operational issues such as strategic planning, policy and procedure, finance, human resources, marketing, and staff and board development. ESCOT is one of more than 30 independent member organizations of the Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network, located across the country.

Palmquist is interested in hearing from individuals who want to volunteer their services as consultants, as well as from not-for-profit corporations, educational institutions and governments which can benefit from ESCOT’s consulting services and expertise.
