Dr. Mitchell Nesler

Dr. Mitchell Nesler currently serves as the Vice Provost for Strategy and Planning for SUNY System Administration where he leads SUNY System's efforts in five areas: Strategic Planning, Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Institutional Research, and Application Processing. Prior to joining SUNY System Administration in 2019, he spent 17 years at SUNY Empire State College including a year and a half as Officer in Charge/Interim President and ten years as a cabinet level vice president. He holds a Ph.D in Psychology from the University at Albany where he also completed his bachelor's degree. He has published or presented over 125 academic papers. He has held a number of board positions and was recently elected to serve on the association for Institutional Research board of directors.
